What do we do?
Increase awareness of different concepts within Personal Finance among the general student populace – specifically Investing, Trading, and other various topics associated with personal finance.
Organise educational workshops to equip members with practical skills not learnt in the classroom – such as financial modelling and company valuations, use of the Microsoft Suite, practical investing, and stock pitching.
Inform members about current trends in the markets through a joint newsletter publication with the Macquarie University, University of Sydney, and University of New South Wales.
Connect University of Melbourne members to like-minded peers in partner universities across Australia, in order to increase their network and sharing of information.
Allow University of Melbourne members to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical manner through investing competitions, and enrich the general university experience.
Engage students from other faculties providing them general knowledge on personal finance and within that; investing and trading.
Use our collective knowledge to improve access to knowledge relating to personal finances in communities to create a social benefit.
